Because of ignorance on the subject, this state of mind is generally associated with the physical, and because of improper influences, to which most people have been subjected in acquiring knowledge of sex, things essentially physical have highly biased the mind."
He continues to share:
"The desire for sexual expression is inborn and natural. The desire cannot, and should not be submerged or eliminated."
And finally:
"People who lack sex energy will never become enthusiastic nor inspire others with enthusiasm."
You know, in your head what you're reading is true. You probably are sitting there thinking, wow, that's exactly right.
Yet, the next thought doesn't come. The one that will let you go deeper in yourself.
The years and years of physical and emotional experiences have built up so many walls, such resistance and a psychic barricade that you can't even find the road map to get back to what you KNOW is absolutely true.
You see, as much as we all want to be unique – this problem is more common than you realize. The way it manifests is multifold.
Researchers found that of 455 college women with poor body image, more than 80 percent said their parents or siblings had made negative comments about their bodies during childhood.
This keeps us from: feeling safe in our bodies, excited about being naked and in fear of what our body offers in the form of sensuality.
Low self-esteem (aka: lack of confidence) either causes or contributes to neurosis, anxiety, defensiveness, and ultimately alcohol and drug abuse.
When we are divorced from our true power as a sensual being, we will exhibit the above issues. We fight our true nature ultimately making poor choices that keep us trapped in unhealthy lives.
75% of women claim to be non-orgasmic during intercourse
The major reason causing the above is lack of education and healthy conversation about sexuality throughout life, especially during adolescence. The messages you received from family, society, religion and culture shaped your beliefs around sexuality – which are most likely FALSE.
More women than you realize have the exact same feelings as you do.
A number of years ago, I was one of them.
I was just like you. I was confused and in pain. I had lived most of my life thinking, I'm a sexy woman. I know how to show up in the world appearing confident. I'm in touch with my sensuality. But the truth of the matter was, my whole world was turning upside down. I didn't know what being SENSUALLY EMPOWERED looked like, let alone felt like. I had a patchwork quilt of ideas that I got from growing up that was completely out of alignment with what I knew to be true in my heart. But no one had yet to teach me about this part of life.
I was dating men who only wanted one thing (and it wasn't my smarts). I wound up having empty fleeting experiences. Ones that consistently left me feeling like there was something wrong with me. The whole time I ached to be seen. I craved having a connection past the physical.
Truth was – I didn't understand how to get there on my own. So how was someone supposed to meet me there? Finally, I knew I had to dive deep. I couldn't bear feeling small when in my soul I knew without a shadow of a doubt that I was HUGE! That I had something important to share and my life was worth more than what I allowed myself to do. I was hiding from business opportunities and professional growth. And it took A LOT OF ENERGY.
It was only when I TRANSFORMED the pain of being a partial woman that I could stop TRANSMITTING that discordant energy to the world. It was only then I truly stepped into my SENSUAL EMPOWERMENT and my life blossomed in ways I had only dreamed of.
